From an institutional site to a custom platform
VetLay offers home veterinary care in São Paulo, focused on prevention and close contact with pet owners. The first digital presence, on WordPress, served that moment well: validating the positioning and bringing in the first contacts.
As the project grew, I migrated the site to a custom platform built with Astro, Vue and Cloudflare infrastructure: D1 database and media on R2. The result is a site that is much faster, safer and cheaper to run, ready to grow with the clinic.
A pet-owner area that works like an app
The big differentiator of the new platform is the restricted owner area: a logged-in space where each client follows their pet’s complete medical record, the digital vaccination card and receives reminders for upcoming doses and appointments.
Everything runs in the browser and works on the phone like an app: no app store, no installation and always up to date. For a home-care clinic, it is the kind of service that brings owners closer and organizes continuous care.
A foundation ready to grow
With the platform live, the work now is audience building: the blog is taking its first steps on the organic front and new communication fronts are being mapped, between social media and occasional campaigns.
The technical foundation is ready to keep up: high performance, measurement in place and a structure that lets the product evolve without rework.
